Remember the set of
vintage furniture I showed you weeks ago, hoping to find more information about it? Well, I didn't! Which just confirmed what I suspected - it was probably home made. So, I set about trying to refurbish it. I started with the chairs. Not an easy task I can tell you. The wood is very old and soft and started deteriorating in front of my eyes as I was sanding it. In the end I had to leave some of the paint as is, in order to prevent too much damaged to the chairs. It's far from perfect, but then again, getting it perfect was never my intention, as it is vintage furniture after all!

I have to say, I LOVE how it turned out! This is exactly what I had in mind when I purchased it and I'm thrilled to bits. I wanted them for the veranda of my GeeBee house and they're going to fit perfectly! I still have to make little cushions for them, will show you whenever that is done.
