I finally got my hands on some Balsa wood strips. This is my first attempt at making my own picture frames for my miniature paintings! I painted the frame black to go with the tree silhouette.
The painting itself (inner frame) measures 2 x 2 cm.
The outer frame measures 3.3 x 3.3 cm.
What do you think? I need some more practice, but not to bad for a first attempt I think. This one will not be sold, it's for my new dolls house!
